How to draw Pokémon Swablu in 10 steps
What you will need
A pencil
Paper to draw on
Colored pencils
Starting our drawing
Step 1
First thing first, draw four construction guidelines. One down the center of the page, one horizontal across the middle and two diagonal lines. We will be erasing this line later so don’t make it too dark. This line will help us to make sure our Swablu is symmetrical.
Step 2
Next, let’s just start on the body of our Swablu. It is slightly egg shaped. The bottom half is just a little bit larger than the top half.
Step 3
Now we will add in the beak. The shape is similar to the body, but more symmetrical. The bottom is the same width as the top. Center the beak in the middle of the drawing.
Step 4
It is time to add in the mouth on the beak. Draw an arc on the beak where it dips in the middle. The middle of the beak should be where all the guidelines meet.
Step 5
Our next step is to add the eyes in. Each eye is two circles inside each other with a straight line on top. The straight line on top gives the impression of “angry eyes”.
Step 6
Now we can add in the feet. The feet should be on either side of the body on the bottom. Each foot has two claws. Use our drawing for guidance.
Step 7
The next step is to add in the first wing. The wings are clouds. Draw in several partial circles in a wing shape.
Step 8
We are almost there! Last piece we have to add in is the second wing. It should be similar to the first wing, but it doesn’t have to be exactly the same.
Step 9
Now our Swablu is almost done! We can remove the unnecessary construction lines. There are no overlapping lines in our drawing that need to be removed.
Step 10
Now we are done with our Swablu! We can now color away!
